2nd FAERE Annual Conference – September 10-11, 2015 – Toulouse

The organizers of your conference have chosen to offer you the opportunity to voluntarily limit the GHG emissions due to your travel.

This action will contribute to mitigate climate change by growing the forest of Toulouse Business School (http://www.purprojet.com/fr/p/tbs) developed according its partnership with Pur Projet.

Your engagement will enhance the development of the agroforestry project (Alto Huayabamba) in Peruvian Amazonia through funding the plantation of trees. Since 2008, this afforestation project aims at developing model agroforestry systems in order to ensure long term sustainability of cocoa cultures.

The calculation of the appropriate compensation for your travel depends on the transportation mode and on the distance.

If you fly to Toulouse:

Departure point GHG en teqCO2 Number of trees
France 0,2-0,3 1
Europe 0,3-0,6 2
Monde 1 3

If you drive a car:

Distance A-R in km GHG en teqCO2 Number of trees
< 500 0,1 1
500 et 1000 0,15 1
1000 et 2000 0,3 1
> 2000 0,5 2

If you take the train:

Distance A-R in km GHG en teqCO2 Number of trees
< 500 0,02 1
500 et 1000 0,05 1
<1000 0,07 1

To summarize, we propose 3 products (that you can buy together with your registration)

  • You are coming from France -> 1 tree i.e. 5€ TC
  • You are coming from Europe -> 2 trees i.e. 10 € TC
  • You are coming from other countries -> 3 trees i.e. 15 € TC

After the conference, a personalized certificate of plantation will be available in your personal area. You will be directly notified by email. You will also be able to offer your tree by changing the name on the certificate.
