5th FAERE Annual Conference

The aim of the FAERE annual conferences is to promote the production and dissemination of research in environmental economics. Are welcome all the theoretical and applied works, on topics that include – but are not limited to – biodiversity, fishing, agriculture, forestry, water, energy, climate, pollution, health , green growth, or the bio-economy.

The 5th FAERE Annual Conference will take place in Aix-en-Provence (France) at:

The plenary conferences will be given by:
Christian Gollier (Toulouse School of Economics)
Anastasios Xepapadeas (Athens University of Economics and Business and University of Bologna).

This 5th annual conference will also be an opportunity to deliver the Young Economist best paper FAERE Award. The particulars of this contest can be found here.

All presentations will be in English.

10th thematic workshop of FAERE

November 15, 16 and 17, 2018, University of Guyane

The 10th thematic workshop of FAERE will be hosted by University of Guyane, on November 15, 16 and 17, 2018.
The workshop will be devoted to the three complementary topics « Energy – Biodiversity – Ecological Transition ».
The program will consist of oral presentations, which will undergo a selection procedure.

Submissions : October 5 at midnight, 2018
Acceptation : October 9th, 2018

Conference language :
Preferably, presentations will be in French. They can also be made in English for those who wish.

Estimated cost of attending the conference :
Participants will pay for their transportation cost (around 550 € for a return flight ticket Paris-Cayenne) and accomodation cost (negotiated fares at 110 €/night, therefore 440 € for 4 nights, from the 14th to the 18th)… All the other expenses are covered by the organizers.
