Presentation: I am currently a postdoctoral researcher working on the AirCov project at the Center for Environmental Economics in Montpellier (CEE-M). My research focuses mainly on the effects of climate risks, pollution, and public policies at the local level, using econometric methods. My work revolves around two main areas. On the one hand, I analyze climate risks and their budgetary and political consequences, studying local governments’ responses to natural disasters, the effectiveness of prevention policies, and their electoral impacts. On the other hand, I explore the effects of pollution on health, with a particular focus on the COVID-19 pandemic and the mechanisms through which pollution interacts with pre-existing vulnerabilities.
