Postdoctoral Scholar – Business Economics and Sustainability
UCLA invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Business Economics and Sustainability, supervised by Professor Magali Delmas. This is a joint appointment between UCLA Anderson School of Management and the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES), offering a unique interdisciplinary environment at the frontier of environmental and resource economics, firm behavior, and sustainability policy.
The position is well-suited for economists with research interests in environmental economics, industrial organization, or behavioral economics, particularly those examining how firms respond to environmental regulation, market incentives, and stakeholder pressure. Relevant areas of study include, but are not limited to:
• Environmental externalities and firm behavior
• Corporate environmental disclosure and investment
• Scope 3 emissions measurement and supply chain transparency
• Behavioral barriers to corporate sustainability action
• Climate risk, adaptation, and firm resilience
Candidates with strong econometric or causal inference skills and a track record of — or clear potential for — publication in top economics or management journals are especially encouraged to apply.
