Water and Sanitation Access, Pricing and Quality Research Consultant
The Water and Sanitation Division (INE/WSA) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is offering a research consultant job. At least five years of experience (or a PhD) and demonstrated knowledge and interest in at least one of the following areas are required : strong programming skills in R and Stata, strong writing and oral communication skills (writing samples and/or publications available), familiarity with water and sanitation policy in LAC is highly desired, experience applying microeconometric techniques to perform policy or program evaluation.
The selected candidate will perform the following activities:
• Contribute to the design and administration of field studies for original data collection;
• Prepare research papers, reports, and presentations;
• Identify, compile, clean, and organize databases;
• Prepare technical notes related to the Water and Sanitation Observatory;
• Perform econometric and statistical analysis;
• Prepare literature reviews;
• Participate in academic discussions on research findings;
• Assist with miscellaneous administrative duties related to knowledge organization, production, and management.
