Michel Moreaux passed away on November 9th.

We wanted Michel to be among the first honorary members of FAERE.
He was the professor, the thesis director, the co-author of many of us, members of our association or not. He played an eminent role in research in resource and environmental economics in France, and internationally through his numerous publications.
He was also an endearing and often surprising man. His intellectual curiosity and eclecticism were remarkable. We will remember the conversations with him, on all subjects, from history and demography to engines and energy physics, from the pleasures of the motorcyclist to those of the gourmet, and so many others.

We are very grieved and will miss him bitterly.
